Funerals
- Death is inevitable, both for us and for our family.
As Christians we know that death is not the end, and we are comforted in
knowing that God is going to continue watching over us forever.
- The following are general guidelines when making funeral
plans.
Funeral Liturgy
- Under normal circumstances, the funeral home will
contact the Parish Office to setup the day and time of the funeral. The
funeral Mass is a time to celebrate the life of the deceased.
Music
- Music is a wonderful way for the congregation to affirm
both its faith and joy in the resurrection, and that is the purpose of whatever
music is chosen. The emphasis on joy and Resurrection means that Easter
Music is always appropriate. If you have special requests for your
funeral, please write them down and give it to the parish priest or organist
& director of music.
- Music that is appropriate for funerals (all found in our
hymnal Worship III):
