Gallery Choir Music has been an integral part of our liturgies at St. John Church for over 33 years. Our worship is organ and choral based using traditional hymns, acclamations, and choral anthems. Music of integrity from the Masters (Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Contemporary periods) are utilized. The Gallery Choir of St. John Church is made up of volunteer singers from within the parish. They sing at the 10:30 AM Mass every Sunday, Christmas Eve, Holy Week, Easter Sunday, Evening Prayer, Weddings and Downtown Choral Festivals. If you are interested in making a commitment to our choir, please contact Mr. Sullivan in the Parish Office. On Friday, May 8th, the Gallery Choir of St. John Church traveled to Cleveland to participate in the 2009 Jubilation Choral Festival Competition - Final Round, sponsored by WCLV - FM. Our choir was chosen in March as one of six finalist from a host of applications received by WCLV. Under the direction of Robert Sullivan, our organist & director of music/liturgy, the Gallery Choir presented a fifteen minute program at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Cleveland, before a large crowd of people. Their program was broadcast live on WCLV.

Cantors St. John Church is fortunate to have five cantors. Ruth Bazzoli (22 years), James GraySmith (22 years), Shelley Menegay (10 years), Michael McDonald (3 years) and Fred Scott (3 years). All of these people are members of the Gallery Choir and are members of the parish. They are invaluable to the Music Ministry of our church.
